Pre-Primary Department – Activity-Based Learning
The Pre-Primary Department at our CBSE school in East Bengaluru believes that every child learns best through joyful experiences, exploration, and active participation. Our learning environment is thoughtfully designed to make the early years meaningful, engaging, and memorable for every child.
The Pre-Primary programme will focus on learning through play, exploration, hands-on activities and real-life experiences. The activities will be planned according to the age and developmental needs of Nursery, Jr. KG and Sr. KG children.
We follow an activity-based and experiential approach to learning, where children are encouraged to observe, explore, create, communicate, and learn by doing. Classroom concepts are brought alive through hands-on activities, stories, role plays, art and craft, music, movement, sensory experiences, games, and age-appropriate projects.
Culmination Day – Celebrated Every Fourth Saturday
A special feature of our Pre-Primary programme is the Culmination Day, celebrated every fourth Saturday. These days provide children with an opportunity to showcase and reinforce what they have learned during the month. Through presentations, performances, exhibitions, creative displays, games, and interactive activities, children get a platform to express themselves confidently while revisiting their learning in a joyful way.
Our Core Learning Approaches
Nurturing young minds through interactive, multi-sensory and experiential methodologies
1. Hands-on & Activity-Based Learning
Children will learn concepts through real objects, flashcards, beads, stencils, wooden tracing boards, picture-sticking activities, object-based activities and colouring. These activities help develop fine-motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration and concept understanding.
2. Experiential & Real-Life Learning
Children will be given opportunities to learn through real objects, comparing objects, counting activities, nature walks, field trips, school tours, library visits and computer lab visits, connecting classroom learning with their surroundings and everyday life.
3. Language & Communication
Rhymes, storytelling, storybook activities and flashcards will be used to develop vocabulary, pronunciation, listening skills, memory, expression and clear communication from an early age.
4. Creative & Sensory Activities
Children participate in colouring, clay modelling, art & craft, sensory activities, tracing and picture-sticking activities to encourage creativity, imagination, sensory development and fine-motor coordination.
5. Theme-Based Learning
Learning is made interesting through Colour Days, festival-themed activities and special celebrations. Children understand concepts through dress-up, interactive activities, songs, stories and practical experiences.

Dance, sports and movement-based activities are integrated daily to develop coordination, balance, physical fitness, motor control, confidence and teamwork.
